| BLUE HILLS AREA
A soil anomaly of 3-5 times background extends for just over 100 metres to the east downhill from the Main Showing outcrop. To the south two strong soil anomalies with uranium values 3-13 times background extend east-west for 200 and 300 metres and one is open to the west. These soil anomalies parallel the strike direction of the host felsic volcanic rocks and may be sourced by the southern limb of the folded Main Zone. Trenching to 2 metres deep by a small backhoe failed to reach bedrock in these anomalous areas so the source remains to be located. A boulder sample located 400 metres to the south of the Main prospect assayed 1.14%. A composite chip sample from bedrock outcrop on the Chan prospect area, located about seven kilometres west of the Main Showing assayed 0.66% U3O8 at a volcanic - sedimentary contact. A composite chip bedrock outcrop sample from the Baggs Hill granite intrusive assayed 0.49% U3O8. Four additional samples, collected near the Hawks Nest, Fat Lip, Main and #4 prospects assayed between 0.14% U3O8 and 0.36% U3O8. These were from coarse angular float considered to be sourced by these prospects.
Two radiometric anomalies along the Couteau River gave 2,000 CPS (counts per second) but the other was 2 to 3 metres wide and gave radiometric counts up to 8,000 CPS. Uranium oxides have been recognized at the showing. Both anomalies called Chan North prospects, appear to be in highly strained and sheared granite and associated with strong silica and sericite alteration.
