VANCOUVER, BC - Commander Resources Ltd. (CMD-TSX.V, "Commander") announces the resignation of Gong (Michael) Chen as Chief Financial Officer, as of February 28, 2013 and the appointment of Mr. Alnesh Mohan effective March 1.

Mr. Mohan is a Chartered Accountant and a partner at Quantum Advisory Partners LLP ("Quantum"). Mr. Mohan has over 17 years of accounting, auditing and tax experience providing advisory services to a wide array of clients. Quantum is a professional services firm dedicated to assisting publicly listed companies with their financial reporting, taxation and regulatory requirements. Quantum currently works with several companies including Alexander Nubia International Inc., GoldQuest Mining Corp., Gunpoint Exploration Ltd., Hudson Resources Inc., Romulus Resources Ltd. and Rye Patch Gold Corp. Quantum previously worked with Grayd Resource Corp., which was acquired by Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited.
